CI Ranked battles
Instead of just casual matches, ranked play focuses on strategy, smart team building, and fair rules that keep things balanced. Here in Cobblemon Islands, we host ranked systems to give every trainer a chance to test their skills, climb the ladder, and enjoy battles in a fun but competitive environment.

RANKED FORMATS
NATIONAL DEX OU
On Cobblemon Islands, the singles-ranked format follows National Dex OU rather than standard OU.
National Dex OU allows Pokémon, moves, and items from across multiple generations, creating a broader and more diverse metagame. While some Pokémon are restricted or banned for balance, most remain available, giving players access to a wide variety of strategies.
VGC (Video Game Championships)
VGC is the official tournament format used in the mainline Pokémon games. In Cobblemon Islands, VGC follows the same structure: double battles (2v2) where players bring a team of six Pokémon but select four to battle. This format emphasizes teamwork, prediction, and synergy between Pokémon, offering a fast-paced and tactical playstyle.
