# Zygarde Quest

Complete three stages to charge your Zygarde Cube and unlock Zygarde forms and abilities.

The Zygarde Quest is a three-stage quest line that charges up your **Zygarde Cube**. Travel to Zygarde Island, defeat wild Zygarde, collect Zygarde Cells, and hand them in to Professor Palm. Each stage you complete upgrades your cube and unlocks more control over your Zygarde's form and ability, until you receive the full **Zygarde Cube**.

* **Unlocked by:** reaching **60%** on your Regular dex in Dex Rewards
* **Start at:** the **Zygarde Search Guide** at spawn

***

### Starting the Quest

The Zygarde Quest unlocks when you claim the **60% Regular Dex** stage (Prestige 1) in Dex Rewards. When you claim it, you get your first cube, the **0% Zygarde Cube**:

> **ZYGARDE QUEST** » You received a Zygarde Cube!

Your progress only starts tracking once you have unlocked the quest. Defeating Zygarde or collecting Cells before then won't count.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you haven't unlocked the quest yet, the Zygarde NP will tell you:

> **ZYGARDE QUEST** » You don't have an active Zygarde quest. Come back later!
> {% endhint %}

***

### How It Works

Each stage follows the same loop:

1. **Travel to Zygarde Island.** Talk to the **Zygarde NPC** at spawn to be teleported there.
2. **Defeat wild Zygarde.** Wild Zygarde spawn all over the island. Defeat the number your stage requires.
3. **Collect Zygarde Cells.** Find Zygarde Cells around the island and right-click them to pick them up.
4. **Hand in to the NPC.** Visit the NPC in spawn to hand in your Cells. Once you've done both parts of the stage, your cube is upgraded.

While a stage is in progress, your action bar shows how far along you are:

> Zygarde 10%'s Defeated: 12/20 | Zygarde Cells Collected: 4/10

***

### Stage Requirements

Each stage has its own requirements. Your progress starts again from 0 at the beginning of every stage.

| Stage | Zygarde Defeated | Zygarde Cells Handed In | Reward |
| -------- | ---------------- | ----------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| **10%**  | 20               | 10                      | **10% Zygarde Cube**                  |
| **50%**  | 50               | 40                      | **50% Zygarde Cube**                  |
| **100%** | 250              | 50                      | **Zygarde Cube**, quest line complete |

In total, the full quest line takes **320 Zygarde defeated** and **100 Zygarde Cells**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Your stage doesn't upgrade on its own when you hit the targets. You have to go back to **the NPC** to hand in and claim it.
{% endhint %}

### Zygarde Cells

Zygarde Cells are small green Zygarde Cell Pokémon spread across Zygarde Island. They can't be caught or battled. Just **right-click** one to collect a Cell:

> **ZYGARDE QUEST** » You found a Zygarde Cell!

* Once you've collected from a spot, you have to wait **60 seconds** before you can collect from that same spot again. Other spots are unaffected, so keep moving around the island.
* A new Cell appears straight away after one is collected.
* Keep your Cells in your inventory until you hand them in.

#### Handing In

When you talk to **Professor Palm**, any Zygarde Cells you're carrying are handed in, up to the number your current stage still needs. Extra Cells stay in your inventory for the next stage.

> **ZYGARDE QUEST** » You handed in 10 Zygarde Cell(s).

If you haven't finished both parts of the stage yet, Palm will show your current progress:

> **ZYGARDE QUEST** » Not ready yet - Zygarde 10%'s Defeated: 12/20, Zygarde Cells Collected: 10/10

When both parts are done, your old cube is swapped for the upgraded one:

> **ZYGARDE QUEST** » Zygarde quest progress: 50%!

***

### Using the Zygarde Cube

**Right-click your own Zygarde** with the cube to change it. The cube can change your Zygarde's Form and Ability.

The cube only works on Zygarde that belong to you:

***

### Completing the Quest

When you hand in the 100% stage, you receive the **Zygarde Cube** and the Zygarde quest line is complete. From then on you can change your Zygarde's form and ability whenever you like.

If you talk to Professor Palm again after that:

> **ZYGARDE QUEST** » Your Zygarde Cube is already fully charged!

### FAQ

<details>

<summary>I defeated Zygarde, but my progress didn't go up.</summary>

Progress only counts once you've unlocked the quest from the **60% Regular Dex** stage in Dex Rewards. Anything you defeated before claiming that stage doesn't count.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I hit both targets, but my cube didn't upgrade.</summary>

Stages aren't claimed automatically. Go back to **The NPC in Spawn** to hand in and upgrade your cube.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I right-clicked a Zygarde Cell, but nothing happened.</summary>

You've collected from that spot within the last **60 seconds**. Try a different Cell on the island, or come back to that one shortly.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does my progress carry over between stages?</summary>

No. Each stage has its own targets, and your Zygarde defeated and Cells handed-in counts start from 0 at the beginning of each stage. Extra Cells you're still carrying do carry over, as they stay in your inventory.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I use my cube on someone else's Zygarde?</summary>

No. The cube only works on a Zygarde you own.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://wiki.cobblemonislands.com/features/zygarde-quest.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
