# Roles & permissions

Understand clan ranks and what each role can manage.

Every clan member has one role. Higher ranks have more permissions.

| Role    | Color  |
| ------- | ------ |
| Owner   | Gold   |
| Officer | Yellow |
| Member  | Green  |
| Recruit | Gray   |

New members join as a **Recruit**. Promote them when they are ready.
